The Free Methodist World Mission Health Center in Addis Ababa opened its doors on February 21, 2002. This health center is an outreach of the FMC for District 10, one of the poorest regions in the city, with an estimated population of 150,000 to 200,000 people. The staff of nearly 40 employees has daily opportunities to share Christ’s love with patients. From the clinic an HIV/AIDS program has been initiated which ministers to the dying, as well as their caregivers. A study center to help orphans operates in cooperation with International Child Care Ministries. In addition, churches have been planted across Ethiopia, and a large reforestation project has been started to reclaim desert land and help change the climate. More than 2 million trees have been planted. Opportunities to support Ethiopia ministries Learn more about Ethiopia
