Origins

The Free Methodist Church in Malaysia was dedicated in February 2002. The work there is led by Rev. Henry Ng and his wife, Jessica, who are Malaysian.

Present Ministries

In 2008 the Malaysia Free Methodist Church celebrated its sixth anniversary and was recognized as a Mission District. The main church in Ipoh has English, Chinese and Bahasa Malaysian speaking congregations.

Outreach

From the beginning, 20 percent of the Malaysia FMC income has gone to missions. Current areas of assistance include: supporting a church planter and building a church in India, sponsoring children through International Child Care Ministries, mission work with tribal peoples in Sabah (East Malaysia), and support for Thailand and a creative access country.
