Church-in-Formation
Origins
The Wenatchee, WA, Free Methodist Church began sending doctors and dentists to Rivne in the early 1990s through Ukraine Medical Teams. These teams served as the medical staff during children’s camps at a large state-operated facility. All children attend one of these camps at least once during childhood. The city government then requested that the Free Methodist Church begin a long-term work in Rivne. Present Ministries
Following several setbacks, church planting efforts have begun again in Rivne and Kyiv. Missionary Julie Allman has worked in building relationships with university students and other professionals in Kyiv and has initiated home Bible studies. Missionaries Greg and Brenda Hendrick are based in Rivne, where they lead home groups and supervise the operation of a transition home for orphan girls. Known as the “House of Hope,” it serves as a safe-haven for girls who have had no proper training in life skills. The goal is to help them learn how to become productive, contributing members of society. Opportunities to support Ukraine ministries Learn more about Ukraine
