Origins

The Free Methodist Church in Bolivia was begun on July 17, 1994, when a Bolivian with a Methodist background, Silverio Chambi Yana, was named church planter in the city of Cochabamba. In 2000 the FMC refocused its efforts toward the capital city of La Paz and in 2005 began work in Santa Cruz.

Present Ministries

Veteran FM leaders from Chile, Sergio and Mari Loyola, led outreach in Bolivia from 2005-2009. Pastor Jorge and Teresa Guarello from Mexico moved to Santa Cruz in January 2010 to lead the work in Bolivia under the direction of Superintendent Loyola.
