With 22.5 millions inhabitants, Mexico City is among the largest cities of the world. We currently have two churches with the city proper (Acopilco and Iztapalapa). Led by church planters Jorge and Tere Guerello, we have sent the Miller, Myer and Foote families as U.S. missionaries to Mexico City. The team is specifically focused on developing holistic ministries to the community that surrounds the recently purchased Iztapalapa property so that it can serve as a reproducible model for dozens of churches in Mexico City. The projected ministry center will be the training center as well as "anchor" property for the work in Mexico City.

Every week a group of dedicated Mexicans and missionaries walk and pray in the Coapa neighborhood of southern Mexico City where a new church plant has been started. You can help bring the light of Jesus to this area of Mexico City, a metropolis of over 20 million people in which only 2 small Free Methodist churches exist. Initially, a space is being rented to serve as both the church and as pastoral housing. As people join the group, a larger space will be needed. Although the cost of living is high in the city, a Mexican pastor can be supported for as little as $250 per month. The Canadian Free Methodist Church has given an inital amount that will allow the church to begin, but your faithful giving is required for the church to pay its bills beyond 6 months.
