Katie will return to Malawi to minister through International Child Care Ministries (ICCM), women’s ministries and teaching English at Great Commission Bible School in Lilongwe. Katie and her husband, Ryan, served in Malawi from May 2007 until Ryan’s death just 19 months later. Katie’s life experience will give her a unique perspective into one aspect of her ministry to women – working with widows. Katie plans to help widows build a support system and then, in the future, discover how these women can become self-sufficient. She desires to partner with Malawian FM pastors’ wives and women in ministry to proclaim the truth of Jesus’ love to women throughout Malawi and beyond.
