ABOUT FMWM

Rick and Cookie Ireland
Latin America/Haiti

Rick and Cookie Ireland were approved in October 2009 to serve as extended term missionaries to Haiti. Believing Haiti’s hope for the future lies in the development of godly and competent leaders, Rick is committed to leadership development and pastoral training. Cookie is a certified nurse-midwife and is looking forward to working with women and children, as well as serving through hospitality ministries and work team coordination. The Irelands originally anticipated several months of partnership building before a projected fall departure for Haiti. Following the recent devastating earthquake in Haiti, Rick departed in January for Port-au-Prince to assist the Haitian Free Methodist Church in relief and recovery efforts. Cookie remains in North Tonawanda, NY, where Rick is pastor of the Nash Road Free Methodist Church, and continues to raise financial and prayer support.
