ABOUT FMWM

Julie Yerger
Africa/Rwanda

Julie grew up in a missions-minded family. She went on her first mission trip at the age of nine. In 2006 she visited Kibogora, Rwanda, planning to complete her one-month assignment with no thoughts of returning to Rwanda. But God had other plans. Julie went back to Rwanda as a missionary nurse in September 2007. She works with the head nurse at Kibogora Hospital to improve nursing quality through education, evaluation and hands-on work with the nurses. She also coordinates a two-year program to increase knowledge of the Kibogora-trained nurses. Julie helps with hospitality, as many visitors come to Kibogora.
