And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospek, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

FM Prayer Resources “Above and Beyond,” a missionary’s testimony about your prayers
Encouragement comes from surprising sources sometimes. Some time ago, I'd requested prayer for a class I was teaching at our sons’ Wycliff school. Hotline pray-ers prayed. A couple in Canada read the Hotline. They wrote to say that he is a retired English teacher and if I ever needed any help with my literature class, he’d be glad to be of service. I didn’t think much about it at the time, but that week at school, two of my students commented that the poetry I was giving them to memorize was too easy. I retorted, “What do you want, Shakespeare?” “Yes!” they shouted. My Internet search brought up pithy quotes and complete plays, but not the paragraph-length chunks I wanted. I sent an S.O.S. to the professor only to discover that Shakespeare was his special subject. He immediately sent me a list of a dozen important and memorizable speeches. Just another sign that the Lord loves to give us above and beyond what we ask and think!
